Foundation’s Mission Statement: Established in 2005, the Louisiana Heat Foundation’s mission is to develop character, self-discipline, higher learning, and outstanding leaders, through positive mentoring. The foundation’s focus is on aiding youth from 7-17 years of age through youth empowerment programs. Louisiana Heat Foundation is a certified 501(c) 3 non- profit organization as of 2007.
HEAT FOUNDATION HISTORY
The Louisiana Heat Foundation was founded in 2005 by a group of fire fighters and community leaders who wanted to help kids in the community with the challenges that they faced.
New Orleans is a Great city. We all love the food and music! Anyone will tell you that the people and culture are incomparable. However, in greater New Orleans we have a history of struggle with academic failure,delinquency, crime and violence in our community. While these dynamics are occurring,we like to consistently encourage and engage our children in more positive aspects of life through academics and sports.
The Louisiana Heat Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and donations made to the organization are tax deductible.The foundation is able to conduct year round programs through sponsors and the generosity of the community, corporate and private citizens.
